Amandine Van den Berghe first joined our Brussels office in February 2017 as a trainee in the fishing team. She then gained experience as a lawyer at the European Commission before returning to ClientEarth in September 2018 to work on the intersection between trade and the environment. Amandine is in charge of ClientEarth’s marketing campaign and is committed to ensuring that the EU prioritises public policy considerations and the rule of law in trade and investment policy.
Amandine obtained a Master’s degree in European Union law from the University of Amsterdam, where she specialized in environmental law. She wrote her thesis on the role of the EU in the CITES Convention, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. She also obtained two bachelor’s degrees in law and political science from the Université Saint-Louis in Brussels.
